Color Inspirations: Mint to Be

Since wedding experts everywhere are predicting mint to be the next wedding color, we decided to feature it in our very first Color Inspiration board!

Mint is one of the rare colors that fits in perfectly any time of the year, blending seamlessly with the color palettes that are unique of each season.  Check out below for lots of ideas on how to incorporate this hot color into your big day...

The cool undertones of mint are perfect for Winter weddings!

Mint is soft enough to work with the pastels of Spring.

Mint is cheerful enough to blend with the bold colors of Summer decor.

And mint offers a great contrast to deep color palettes of Autumn.

Stationary
Your Save the Date cards and invitations are the only things that most of your guests will see before your wedding, so it is important to decide on your wedding colors early and to stick with them.  Make sure to weave your colors in as many details of your big day as possible from the start of your initial planning until your walk down the aisle.

Bridal Gowns
For those wanting to wow in something other than the traditional white, mint offers a subtle departure from the norm while not being so daring that you have to worry about grandma fainting.  Several designers now offer collections in a myriad of colors, including mint, like these stunning options from Elie Saab that are fresh off the runway.

Bridesmaids Dresses
Whether you would like to highlight each of your ladies' personalities with a variety of cuts and lengths or you are looking for a more uniform look to your wedding party, you are certain to find  a wide selection of designers carrying options in mint.

Shoes
Whether you are walking down the aisle in a pair of killer peep toe stilettos or dancing the night away at your reception in super cute ballet flats, shoes are the perfect way to add a pop of color on your big day.

Accessories
Add some color and flair to your wedding wardrobe with accessories that coordinate with your color scheme.  You can add quite a bit of personality to your wedding with a cute shrug to keep your shoulders warm, a pretty fascinator for a bit of whimsy or even a simple clutch to carry everything you need to touch up your makeup.  And remember, accessories also make great bridesmaid's gifts that are sure to be used again and again!

Flowers
The color green in floral arrangements symbolizes freshness and is best for new beginnings.  Your mint color palette can easily be worked into your bouquet with options like dusty miller, hypericum berries, green hydrangeas, scabiosa, succulents, sage and mint leaves.
